Started as Malaysian-Korean JV in July 2003 and incorporated in October 2003, ECE Technologies Sdn. Bhd. (ETSB) formerly knowned as AIC Display Sdn. Bhd. was established with the vision to be a Global Electrical & Electronic Appliances Corporation.

Over the years, ETSB has been carrying the mission to consistently provide world-class innovation-driven products, processes and services that exceed customers' expectations by leveraging on the total supply and value chain, in-house product and brand development, integrated manufacturing, marketing and distribution capabilities.

Business Description

The primary activities of ETSB are designs, develops, manufactures, assembles, markets and distributes Consumers' Electrical & Electronic Home Appliances for its owned in-house brands i.e. ECE, ECElectronics, Plaxio, AE-Tech, and other OEM brands. ETSB oers a wide range of Electrical & Electronic Home Appliances that are segmented into Audio Visual including LCD TV, Plasma TV, LED TV, CRT TV, DVD Player and Home Theatre System, Home Appliances including Air-Conditioning ,Washing Machine, Fans, Mist Fans, and Vacuum Cleaner, and Kitchen Appliances including Gas Burner, Blender, Mixer, Juice Extractor, Convection Oven, Pressure Cooker, Rice Cooker, Induction Cooker and Toaster.

Operating in an ISO Certied LMW status factory with the land area of 116,430 sq ft and factory area of 41,530 sq ft in Shah Alam, equipped with a comprehensive Research, Development and Production facilities, equipments and personnels, ETSB hopes to further develop, produce and market more unique and distinguish products, and to be competitively positioned between other leading corporation in the Local, Regional and International markets.

In the effort to capture bigger market share in the Malaysian Consumer Electrical & Electronic Appliances Market, ECE Sales & Services Sdn. Bhd.(ESSB), a wholly-owned subsidiaryof ECE Technologies Sdn. Bhd.(ETSB) was established in August 2008. ESSB is responsible to develop, promote and maintain the local commercial markets via Dealers, Distributors, Hyper & Supermarket, Contractors and Corporate Accounts. Throughout the years of experience in the industry, ESSB has successfully developed its' comprehensive marketing and distribution network of 700 reputable Distributors and Dealers all over the nation in a short period of time.

ETSB has set great new missions to expand its business whilst maintaining its competitive price, quality standard and creative momentum, hence embarking and venturing into new global markets. These missions are realised by setting up PT ECE Indonesia and ECE India Pte.Ltd. in order to penetrate into the Indonesia and India market.

Norjannah binti Zainal - Executive director
She obtained her Diploma in Library and Information Science (equivalent to a degree in the Malaysian Civil Service Dept) in 1985 from Universiti Teknologi Mara (Formerly known as ITM) and obtained her TESL Teaching Certificate in the same year from the same university. In 1992, she obtained her Diploma in Human Resource management from the Humberside University. She was a librarian for the Selangor State Public Library heading the Procurement/Purchasing Department before entering into the business world in 2002.

Norlizah binti Zainal - Executive director
She graduated with a Degree in Electrical Engineering (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 1989 and obtained her Diploma in Translation (Science and Technical) from Dewan Bahasa & Pustaka Malaysia in 1990. She was attached to Muhibbah Engineering as a consultant engineer before joining Ericsson Telecommunications. During her 11 years in Ericsson, she was responsible for local and international tenders as well as conducting trainings for local and international staff and clients. In 2002, she resigned from Ericsson to venture in business and has never looked back since then.

Mohd Suhaimi bin Rozali - Executive director and CFO (Aged 50)
Mr. Rozali graduated in business administration (finance), started his career with Bank Bumiputra Malaysia Bhd and has served the Bank at its branches and commercial banking division. He later joined a public listed company, Idris Hydraulic (Malaysia) Bhd ("IHMB") in November 2000 and was part of the "white knights" team that undertook the comprehensive corporate debt restructuring exercise of IHMB. Upon the completion of the restructuring exercise of IHMB, the white knight company, Idaman Unggul Bhd ("IUB") assumed the listing status of former IHMB and was listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia on November 2003 until he left to join Transmission Resources Sdn Bhd in November 2005. He also left Transmission Resources Sdn Bhd to set up his own company in February 2007. He joined ECE in December 2009.

Mushtaq Hussin A. Ahmad - Non-executive director (Aged 57)
Served the first 3 years of employment in Ministry of Labour from 1981 to 1983 where he gained expertise in labour laws and industrial relations. Later he joined the Sungai Way Group of Companies for 7 years and subsequently joined a Japanese corporation dealing in medical devices as the General Manager of Human Resources until he opted for early retirement in 2008. During his employment years, has attended many seminars and courses covering areas related to human resource which amongst others include supremacy leadership development program, manufacturing system and total quality management, problem solving and decision making skills, safety and health officer course and quality management system assessment course to name a few. Graduated from University of Humberside with a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and an MBA from Senior University International, Wyoming, USA.

Nuriati Binti Mohd Nordin - Non-executive director (Aged 42)
Nuriati holds a law degree from National University of Malaysia. She has been admitted as an Advocates & Solicitors in the High Court of Malaya in 1994. Previously she was attached with one of the biggest Law Firm which specializes in matter relating to law of insurance which is R K Nathan & Co. In 1996 she became the partner of Khairizan Teoh & Nuriati , of a medium sized firm in Malaysia. Her area of practice include inter alia insurance related matters, civil litigation and corporate and conveyancing. Nuriati also sit as a member of Disciplinary Board established by Bar Council Malaysia to regulate conduct and ethics of lawyers in Malaysia since 2005.

Mohd Mahyudin Zainal - Chief Executive Officer (Aged 42)
He obtained a Bachelor of Law Degree LLB (Hons) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1994. He has extensive experience in almost all spheres of law including commercial litigation, conveyancing and corporate legal practice.He has been involved in a few massive corporate restructuring exercise involving corporate restructuring, merger and acquisitions of public listed companies locally and also acquisition of foreign countries in South East Asia .He was directly involved in the listing of Mutiara Goodyear Development Berhad into the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia and the restructuring of Idaman Unggul Berhad (formerly known as Idris Hydraulic (M) Berhad .He was also directly involved in the emergence of Tahan Insurance Berhad via the merger of three insurance companies namely Talasco Insurance Berhad, Tenaga Insurance Berhad and People Insurance Berhad. He was also directors in a few public listed companies in Malaysia.

Hairuddin Bin Zainal - R&D Director (Aged 51)
He has vast experience in managing and coordinating large teams from years of experience in the project management of housing and new township. Prior to joining ECE, he was a project director involve in the development of a new township in Islamic Republic of Iran. Exposures from working in several countries had given him better insights into the needs and requirements of different communities and this insights have been transferred into the development of new products and upgrading of existing ones.

Mohd Zamri Zainal - Sales & Marketing Director (Aged 40)
Graduated from Chartered Institute of Marketing, he has been in the advertising industry for several years as Accounts Director of Kalamvest Advertising (M) Sdn Bhd, an advertising and media house. He later went into property development where he undertook development of housing projects jointly with the landowners. Was also a director of a listed company in the business of furniture manufacturing.
